Trying out water color...

Finally decided I need to get back into the fine art game. Graphic design has become actual work now, so fine arts will have to be for fun again. Trying out watercolors or the first time ever and hoping it goes well.

EXHIBITION: Form & Letterform: Interventions

EXHIBITION: Form & Letterform: Interventions
This is my work from the Form & Letterform: Interventions exhibition that was held January 13 - February 4, 2012 at the School of Visual Arts in 2012.
School of Visual Arts (SVA) presents "Form & Letterform: Interventions," an exhibition of work from past and present students in Henrietta Condak's Type Design course for seniors. Presented by the BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department and curated by Henrietta Condak.

PACKAGE: Anthony's Wine

PACKAGE: Anthony's Wine
Project
Design a wine bottle

Execution
I wanted to make a wine bottle which could be easily recognized and helpful to the consumer. With Anthony's wine, I created a bottle with a large image of grapes on the front that change color depending on the type of wine it holds.

PACKAGE: Té

PACKAGE: Té
Project
Create a beverage based on yourself.

Execution
I made a tea, my favorite drink, for this project. I incorporated my two biggest design influences of street art and Swiss design and finished them off with a touch of color. The name comes from the spanish word for tea, té, which was chosen to represent my Mexican heritage.

BOOK: Respect

BOOK: Respect
Project
Create a book using only texts.

Execution
I decided to make a book based on the song Respect by Otis Redding. (Made famous by Aretha Franklin) I kept the text black on white pages and expressed the lyrics with by using different layouts for every page.
